Ayurveda is traditional Indian medicine that is over 5,000 years old. Its name comes from Sanskrit: ‘ayus’ (life) and “veda” (knowledge), meaning ‘knowledge of life’.

Ayurveda is based on the premise that health is a balance of body, mind and spirit. Each person has a unique constitution (known as doshas – vata, pitta, kapha), and Ayurveda helps to maintain their balance through diet, herbs, lifestyle, massage, exercise (e.g. yoga) and natural body care.

It is a holistic approach that not only heals but also prevents, ensuring harmony with nature and oneself.
